Where to Take Photos in NYC & Packing Tips
NYC has so many amazing photograph spots but one walk in particular will leave you with enough photos to start a new Instagram!
For anyone going to NYC I highly suggest walking the Brooklyn Bridge on a beautiful day. There are some amazing picture opportunities on the bridge itself. Once you get on the Brooklyn side take the DUMBO walking exit at the end of the bridge. After you go down the stairs, make a left and continue straight.
This is where you will find EVERY blogger, fashionista, social media influencer and photographer taking pictures with the stunning cobblestone streets, bright red brick and the Brooklyn Bridge in the background…looking just like a magical movie set.
Just keep in mind while you’re posing… this is still an actual road so beware of cars behind you! Also take your time with your photos. There will be breaks with less people, so you can get the perfect photo with no one in the background. However, if there is someone, use a blurring photo app to keep the focus on you… like I did!
NYC had perfect walking weather this past weekend. When I visit in the colder months, I utilize layers to stay warm and comfy shoes for all the walking I do. As a frequent NYC visitor, I’ve tried to perfect my packing but it can be very difficult. The weather is a bit unpredictable but packing with layers allows you to add or takeaway the layers depending on the weather. As much as I would love a “Sex in the City” fashion moment, in the colder months I opt for comfort over anything else.
Although spring is right around the corner, these sweaters are a great sale price and the jeans are the perfect transition piece for the warmer months! Great staples for any closet.
I decided to pack thick turtle neck sweaters layered with a basic white tee underneath.
I ended up purchasing these jeans at TJ Maxx in NYC. I have so much trouble finding jeans that fit both my thighs and waist. These were absolutely perfect and only $19.99. I didn’t care if they didn’t fit in my bag. I was determined to buy them!
